If you are having issues with the steps counting functionality for Android devices, please follow the steps below:
1. Pull down top bar menu
2. Tap the Settings icon (Gear icon) next to the notification for Steps
3. Tap the drop-down arrow in Step Counting Method
4. Select Google Fit as your Step Counting Method
5. When prompted, please accept Google Fit as your new step counting method
Many users find that previous step counting issues no longer occur once switching to Google Fit as the step counting method.
