To improve the step count accuracy on your iPhone, place your phone in these locations:
- snug pockets in clothing items (jacket, shirt, pants, etc.)
- smartphone armband
- bags (purse, backpack)
These locations are places where your phone moves in the same cadence with your body, giving the most accurate measurements of your step count. Try to avoid placing your phone in loose areas where the phone would not move in the same rhythm as your walk, such as loose shorts.
Also make sure that your Stride Length is on. This calculates your walking and running stride length based on your height, which improves the step count accuracy. To do this, go to: Argus Menu > Settings > Stride Length > Turn 'Automatic from Height' toggle on.
